2024 Tree Sales May 3-5

 

Golden K Tree sale returns for 2024 for just one weekend, May 3-5.

We offer 2-3 year old saplings. This is an excellent and inexpensive way to put some trees on your property.

You can put in a wind-break, create some shade, reforest cleared land, and fight global warming. 

Trees are just $3 each regardless of variety. 

We will be selling at Rotary Gardens Horticultural Center on 825 Sharon Rd, Janesville. This sale is held in conjunction with Rotary Gardens plant sale.

Parker/Craig Closet Donation

                  Jerry Langdok and Bruce Jorenby present a check for $2,500 each to 
                  Parker Advisor Deri Eastman and Craig Advisor Heather Last at Rotary

                  Gardens on December 6.   The money is used to help needy students

                  throughout the year and also help make their holidays a little brighter.

 Kiwanis Hixson Fellowship Award

    In 1983, the Kiwanis Children's Fund established the George F. Hixson Fellowship named for Kiwanis International's first president.   Hixson Awards are given when a donation of $1,000 is donated to the Children's Fund.  This award recognizes members who have contributed significantly to their local Kiwanis club.

Alzheimer's Walk

                                          Maury Frey finishes the 2 mile Alzheimer's Walk

250 people walked in the Rock County Alzheimer's Walk at Palmer Park in Janesville.   Maury and 26 more family members walked to support Alzheimer's Research.  Their efforts resulted in donations totaling $7,600.   Golden Kiwanis members donated $2,000 of that total.   Thank you to all who made this a great success.
